Some are not too realistic, but when layered with other sounds can create unique tones. Still exploring it's capabilities and being programming confused, but I've got a midi interface on order so I can use the PC editor (I've read that it makes programming much easier). All in all, it's great if you want to add some fun capabilities to your guitar arsenal. I'm using a GK3 pickup and it works fine, but I've read that the piezo types are best (Ghost, etc.). It depends on your level of involvement, I suppose. I haven't tried them all, but I'd say that the tracking alone makes this unit worthwhile. Cons: People with midi disabilities like me, might find it a bit confusing to program, but I'm hoping some studying and using the PC interface will help.
